Musician’s “Retreat” at Immanuel

5:00pm-6:00pm Bells (Technique, assignments, etc.)

6:00pm-7:00pm Food and Fellowship 

(Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. Becky will provide BBQ)

7:00pm-8:00pm Choir (Reading Session)

  Have you ever thought about singing in the choir, playing bells, or playing an instrument during worship? Do you appreciate music and would like to spend time with our musicians? The “retreat” is for our current musicians, former musicians, future musicians, anyone who would like the opportunity to experience choir or bells, and anyone who would enjoy making music with us for the evening. Join us to learn more about the music program at Immanuel as well as enjoying food and fellowship together.

What does the choir do?

The choir or members of the choir provide the vocal offering, lead the Introit, Gradual, and Alleluia Verse on Sundays and Festivals as well as teaching new hymns and canticles.

 

Rehearsals: Sundays mornings prior to service

What does the bell choir do?

Prelude once a month and for Select Festivals

 

Rehearsals: Sundays at Noon & 8:30am on the Sundays we play in church

What do the instrumentalists do?

Instrumentals can provide music during the offering, preludes, and postludes, as well as during the hymns and accompanying the choir. Instrumentalists can be added on any Sunday, but especially Festivals.

 

Rehearsals are scheduled as needed.
